3D hunting archery at Brahetrolleborg

On Saturday, August 23rd, the stunning forest at Brahetrolleborg will host an exciting 3D hunting archery competition! Everyone is welcome — whether you're an experienced archer ready to compete or a beginner looking to learn and enjoy with like-minded enthusiasts.

For members of DJ Kreds 5, this event also counts as the district championship in hunting archery.

Event Details:

• Rules: Following the Danish Hunters' Association’s hunting archery rules
• Classes: Register in either the Compound Bow or Traditional Bow category.
• Additional Classes: If there’s enough interest, a Junior and Ladies class may be added.

Archers will shoot in patrols of approximately 4 participants, organized by Svendborg Bowhunters. After the first round, patrols will be regrouped based on the scores from that round. The competition consists of 2x20 targets, with distance sticks used for both compound and traditional bows.

Programme for the 3D Hunting Archery Competition at Brahetrolleborg

• Starting Point: Warm-up from 8:30 AM beside the castle, where Svendborg Bowhunters has a stand (look for the large "Halmborg" inside the exhibition area).
• Transport: Remember, bows must be transported in a suitcase or bag on the castle grounds.
• Parole: At 9:30 AM at the same location.
• Walk: We’ll walk together to the 3D course in the forest east of the rifle range.
• First Round: Starts at 10:00 AM and runs until approximately 12:30 PM.
• Break: From 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM — enjoy refreshments in the forest by the 3D course.
• Second Round: Begins at 1:00 PM and concludes around 3:30 PM.
• Prize Ceremony: Immediately after the second round, at Svendborg Bowhunters stand in front of the castle.

Prizes:
Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, plus a main prize drawn among all participants (whether they shoot or have proxies).

Registration & Fees:

• Membership of the Danish Hunters' Association Kreds 5 is required.
• Fees: DKK 200 for compound and DKK 200 for traditional bows.
• Categories: Male/Female, Junior/Senior.

Important: The bow must be transported in a bag or suitcase when attending the exhibition center. Please see the instructions for parking and storing your bow to ensure smooth access and avoids any issues.

Tiny Targets 3D challenge on Brahetrolleborg

Mini 3D Archery Competition at the Svendborg Bowhunters' Stand

Inside the exhibition centre, the Svendborg Bowhunters will host a mini 3D archery competition all weekend. The Tiny Targets 3D challenge runs throughout the entire Brahetrolleborg Game Fair.

How it works:

• Small 3D targets will be shot at distances from 1 to 6 metres within a "Straw Castle" setup.
• Targets are more challenging and smaller than typical hunting targets.
• Participants shoot at each target, and their total score for the round is recorded.
• A scoreboard keeps track of scores all day.

Who can join:

• The challenge is open to everyone whenever the exhibition centre is open (except during the 3D hunting archery on Saturday).
• No specific classes or equipment are needed—just show up and participate.

Cost and registration:

• One round costs DKK 25.
• No pre-registration required. Just come, pay, and shoot as many rounds as you like.
• If your score drops during the day, you can always try again and improve your position.

Final rounds and prizes:

• The top 4 scorers each day will compete in a final shootout for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
  • Friday at 17:00
  • Saturday at 17:00
  • Sunday at 15:00
• The main prize will be drawn from the shooting cards of those who participate in the final, during the award ceremony (either in person or by proxy).

  PLEASE NOTE
  The bow must be transported in a bag/case at the exhibition centre. It is possible to store bow equipment in Svendborg Buejægeres tent at Halmborgen. There is supervision, but it is at your own risk.

Try Archery at Brahetrolleborg Castle

Svendborg Bowhunters and the Danish Hunters' Association will showcase archery and bow hunting demonstrations at the castle throughout the exhibition.

All visitors to BTGF will have the chance to try archery. Svendborg Buejægere will provide all the necessary equipment at their stand.

Our experienced instructors will guide you in learning how to shoot a bow. If you're interested in bow hunting, they’ll also be available for conversations about how to get started.
